Shannan is a Texas native with a love for the outdoors, camping, sports, and British humor. Known for her versatility, she has taken on a wide range of roles in a relatively short time since entering the industry.
She appeared opposite Bill Pullman as an affluent Upper East Side wife in the Ryan Murphy Netflix limited series Halston, and played a blue-collar single mother from Buffalo, New York in the comedic web series Mike Is Unemployed. Her film credits include Sno Babies, The Retaliators, and Signs of Love, which premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival and won Best Director. In the film, Shannan plays the mother of Zoe Arquette, who received the festival’s Best Actress award.
Spring 2026 has been busy with two upcoming feature films and a dramatic short. Sicklerville starts shooting in April 2026 and stars James Paxton, Ruby Modine, with Robert Brinkmann (Cable Guy, Rules of Attraction) as the DP.
Her feature film Finding Christmas, in which she portrays a South Philadelphia wife opposite Robert Clohessy of Blue Bloods, was released theatrically in December 2024. She also appears in the Tubi thriller A Party to Die For and plays a lead role in the short film Dinner Party, directed by Emmy Award–winner Ritesh Gupta.
Shannan appears opposite Catherine Daddario in the feature film The Tributaries, also starring Kelly Rutherford, which premiered at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in June 2025. She has also worked with M. Night Shyamalan on Season 4 of Servant. Most recently, she filmed the role of Jo Fontaine, an aging burlesque dancer, in the short film Last Looks.
In addition to her work in film and television, (FBI, Elementary) Shannan has built a strong portfolio in modeling, commercials, print campaigns, and voiceover work. Her voice can be heard in the opening scene of the feature film Destiny, where she portrays an uncaring foster mother.
Her short film When Father Went Biking, in which she played the lead, was officially selected for numerous international film festivals.
Shannan is also the published author of The Littlest Peanut, an inspirational book for parents of premature babies in the NICU. Beyond acting, she enjoys expressing her creativity through music, writing original songs, and playing both guitar and piano. Her music is available on Spotify.
